Oxfordshire councilor David Silvester has suggested recent flooding in the country is as a result of the government’s decision to legalise gay marriage; I would suggest that it’s cause is more lightly to be from hot air coming out of UKIP party headquarters.

With such dreadful weather all we seem to be getting at the moment is kale so I snacked this weekend on kale chips, made by stripping the leaves off the thick stalk, roughly chopping, dressing with a little olive oil, and then slow baking at 120oC for 60 minutes.

Extra ingredients can be added with the olive oil to create different flavours like for example smoked paprika, chilli, or cumin powder. Parmesan Cheese could be added for the final five minutes in the oven (no longer).

Kids love them and they’re packed with vitamins.
