It was revealed this week that The Ministry of Defense spent £271,000 on 118 calls. I can just imagine mustached directory managers at the end of the phone saying, “look mate, for the 158,640th time we don’t know where Osama Bin Laden lives”.
With a school bake sale for daughter looming, Blueberry muffins were cooked over the weekend.
First we combined some milk and vinegar and set aside.
Next flour, baking powder, spices and salt were mixed into large bowl.
In a separate bowl we creamed soft butter and sugar using a hand whisk, and then added eggs, beating until smooth. Once the consistency resembled mayonnaise we gradually folded in the dried ingredients alternately with the milk mixture, being careful not to over mix, finally adding blueberries, and then baking for about 25 minutes at 150oC.
I also noticed last week that a badger cull failed to work as the furry short-legged omnivores had moved the goal posts. I wish they’d come to Twickenham and moved the uprights at The Stoop as Harlequin’s season could use help from just about anyone; perhaps a call to 118 would help us find the location of our try line.
