It’s a Knock Out

Footballer Wayne Rooney was apparently punched by another footballer in his kitchen it was revealed this week, whilst Labour’s Ed Milliband was KO’d by the press for having two kitchens in his Dartmouth Park residence; something of a political right hook by all accounts…

It seems appropriate that I should present a Rum Punch as this week’s recipe, which is very easy to make. Simply mix fresh lime juice, grenadine syrup, white rum, light rum, pineapple juice, and orange juice (see quantities below).

In the same week television’s Jeremy Clarkson seems also to have punched himself out of the “hot seat” of Top Gear, leaving BBC chiefs with a scheduling vestibule to fill over the next few weeks.

The obvious solution would be to get The Great British Sewing Bee to knit an overlay for the TV itinerary, although sadly this television titanic reached its climax yesterday, so we’ll probably have to make do with yet another cooking program, hardly the sucker punch we were looking for.

235ml cup fresh Lime Juice

470 ml grenadine Syrup

470 ml Jamaican white rum

235 ml light rum

470 ml of Pineapple Juice

470 ml orange juice
