Taking the Heat

Last week I was lucky enough to enjoy the Ed Hall production of Wonderland at the Hampstead Theatre. A phenomenal drama that captures the darkness, emotion, violence and finally emptiness that followed in the aftermath of the miners strike during the early 80’s, when grown men in England struggled to put food on their family table; go and see it before it finish’s next week!

I was faced with a moral picket line of my own to cross when a free copy of Heat magazine offered itself for consideration whilst on the tube. Less then 50% of my living soul agreed to read the celebrity news, gossip and beauty throwaway, although a broadside barrier was crossed revealing amongst other things the favorite meal that British singer Chloe Howl has ever cooked as being Sausage Casserole. My version goes like this.

Fry off onion, garlic in unsalted butter and extra virgin olive oil; add a tin of chopped tomatoes, blitz with a stick blender, and cook down until reduced to a thick Ragu. Add the sausages, steam with the pan lid on over a low flame, and when cooked, plate up with a little dressed roquette and grated Parmesan.

Other questions that were answered in the celebrity circular included:

Has David Beckham dyed his beard?
Is everything cool again between Will and Jada?
Why did it take so long to announce Mel B as the new X Factor judge?
Are Katy Perry & Diplo back on?
What do Cara and Jourdan’s matching tattoos mean?
Are Brad and Ange buying a £30Million Castle?

Also Victoria Beckham gets the thumbs-up for going out in clothes; well done Posh, great work if you can get it and it beats going down a mine for a living.
